Nuggets 7, 2005, Egg Tempera on Gesso, 90 x 140mm

7 men bought a ship which they hoped to sail to China. It proved unseaworthy and after a violent storm ended up stranded in a Japanese bay on the Island of Tanegashima. All survived but the ship was stranded on the beach.
